Hotels are set to open more and more throughout California this year as the state gears up for the massive winter storms.
But the list of contenders is growing longer, and is expected to grow even longer in coming months.
Here’s a look at the 10 hotels expected to open next year, according to a list compiled by a website called Hotels.com:In the coming months, the state’s hotel occupancy rate will likely hit historic lows, with nearly 80% of all hotel rooms occupied by only two people.
And the number of nights available for booking will drop, too.
The number of hotel rooms available for reservation will hit just 30% of capacity in June, down from nearly 50% a year ago, the company reported.
As for the rest of the list, there’s a growing number of hotels in the Pacific Northwest and elsewhere that will be open for business in the coming year.
Among those that are expected to get major updates in 2018 are the CenturyLink Center in Seattle, the Seattle Aquarium in SeaTac, the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, and the Seattle Skyline.
The list below is compiled by the company, and includes only hotels listed in the most recent three months of occupancy.
