Dubai hotels continue to be the worst-performing hotel chain in the world in 2018.
The ratings agency’s report shows Dubai hotels are down 1.6% in the first quarter of 2018 compared to the same quarter in 2017.
In 2017, the Dubai Hotels Association said that hotels had a positive outlook for the year, as they had a record low of 5.7% on the back of a global economic downturn.
But this year, the report has the hotels outlook down at 6.4%.
The agency says the downturn has made it hard for hotel operators to generate revenue.
Hotels are facing more competition in the Middle East, where some cities have begun to close down their hotels to encourage tourism.
