Las Vegas hotel Las Vegas Sands has officially opened its doors, letting you in on the inside of its new “The Vegas Times,” where you can see and hear the inside story behind the most prestigious hotel in the world.
The Las Vegas Times, the latest addition to the Sands portfolio, opened Thursday and will open at 7 a.m.
ET (1 a.n.m., 8:00 a.l.m.) on Saturday, according to a press release.
The hotel will offer a wide range of premium amenities including dining and entertainment, a private bar, spa, and private pools.
“We are excited to bring this world-class resort and casino experience to the Las Vegas community,” said Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman.
“Las Vegas Sands is a global leader in the gaming industry, and we are proud to bring its extraordinary history to our guests and residents in the city of Las Vegas.”
The Times will be a hotel-casino hybrid that will feature a full bar and lounge, a 24-hour gaming center, a high-speed Internet connection, an interactive movie theater, a fitness center, and a gaming and entertainment lounge, according the release.
“Casino Sands is committed to providing guests with the most immersive and best-in-class gaming experience, and this hotel will help us achieve our vision to be the most technologically advanced gaming destination in the country,” said Sands CEO Sheldon Adelson.
Las Vegas casino owner Bill Geist said in a press statement that Sands will “give the Sands Times a modern, sleek and contemporary look that combines our own branding with the iconic architecture of The Venetian, one of the world’s most iconic hotels.”
The Sands Times will feature five distinct, distinct spaces and a fully staffed bar and grill, a “sensory-based” dining area, a spa, a casino lounge, and an outdoor gaming area, according Sands.
It will also have “a fully integrated gaming and fitness center,” with two dedicated gaming zones, “a private lounge” and “a game room,” according to the release, and “an open-air casino that is designed to provide a comfortable, comfortable environment for guests.”
The Las Las Vegas Sun, the Las Vegas’ sister newspaper, is not set to open until April, but the Times will offer the same amenities and gaming experience as the Sun, including “a full bar” and a “lounge.”
The “The Las Vegans” is expected to have a more intimate atmosphere and “enhance our ability to bring in the latest technology and innovations to our readers,” said Geist.
The Las Vegas-based Sands has a history of being a leader in “digital, social, and entertainment,” and the company is a founding member of the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), the nation’s largest television-industry trade association.
The Sands Sands Times is the latest “Casinos of the Future” project to be developed by the Sands Group.
The company announced the development in May 2016, with the news that it had raised $1 billion to bring a casino to Las Vegas.
