The St. Louis Blues are set to keep players warm during the off-season as they look to bolster their core group of players.
The Blues are expecting to sign the likes of forward Jaroslav Halak, defenseman Andrej Meszaros and defenseman Adam Erne this off-year as well as sign the return of forwards Colton Parayko and Jaden Schwartz.
The club also has plans to sign a free agent forward in free agency.
The St. Louise Blues have the third overall pick in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft and they are expected to take on the Edmonton Oilers in the second round of the 2019 draft.
The team will be hoping to land one of the top players in the draft, which will come at a premium given the salary cap.
The Oilers and Blues have already traded for two free agents this off season, and they’ll continue to pursue free agents for the Blues as well.
The Edmonton Oilers have the second overall pick and are expected, like the Blues, to sign one of their top free agents.
